An Open Rails demonstration video of the mid-train helper activity supplied with the Trainsimulations' MRL Mullan Pass route. The video begins with the 4-unit SD70ACe helper set cutting itself in mid-train at Helena Jct MT, and then getting a running start for the 2.2% grade ahead. The video ends with the coal train suffering a broken knuckle about 8 cars behind the manned helper just as it meets a manifest train in the horseshoe curve area around Austin MT.
