The Marathon Trials are held every four years to determine who gets to represent the United States in the summer games. It’s simple - the first three women and the first three men across the finish line after 26.2 miles of running earn the honors. But there’s more to the picture… while six athletes make the team, over 700 athletes will toe the line at the start of the race. This is a snapshot of the lives of runners Scott Fauble, Camelia Mayfield, and YiOu Wang. Each runner has a different story to tell about their journey to the start line of the 2020 Marathon Trials… A film by Myke Hermsmeyer. Learn more: https://guenergy.com/pages/portraits-of-a-marathoner
