Dubloon loot box guide! Looking through the Island Expedition mounts and which 8.3 Salvage boxes on the Island Expedition dubloon loot box vendor can drop them. WoW's patch 8.3 added in Salvage vendors right next to the old Island Expedition dubloon vendors, offering island crates for dubloons! Mounts have a very healthy drop rate from those crates, and the types allow you to target specific mounts you want. This Island Mount guide will show you the best salvage boxes to buy for each mount so you can work towards your top picks. Since 8.3 I've gotten my Squawks parrot mount as well as the Stonehide Elderhorn from under ten crates! You can use Island Expedition dubloon boxes to find your Bloodgorged Hunter bat mount, Craghorn Chasm-Leaper, Qinsho's Eternal Hound, Surf Jelly, Island Thunderscale, Twilight Avenger or Risen Mare mount as well.
I referenced information from both Wowhead and Wowdb drop data for this video. The sample sizes are quite small so there may be more crates that can contain each mount. The crates highlighted for each island expedition mount in this video have the strongest drop rates that we currently know of, and make sense based on the connected mob types for each crate.
