2020 Hispano Suiza Carmen First Look
Hispano Suiza is a historic Spanish car brand owned by four generations of the Suqué Mateu family. Hispano Suiza Fábrica de Automóviles S.A. was founded in Barcelona in 1904 by Damián Mateu with the support of technical director and engineer Marc Birkigt, a partner in the company. In 2000, Hispano Suiza built a prototype luxury two-seat supercar HS21, which was shown in Geneva that same year. The K8 and HS21-GTS models, both evolutions of the first, were presented in 2001 and 2002.
With less than a year to go before deliveries to customers will begin in June 2020, the Carmen’s debut in Madrid has been a total success, amazing locals and tourists in the capital of Spain. Throughout the day, it has been cruising along the main streets of the city like the Paseo de la Castellana, Gran Via, and Estación de Atocha and around the capital’s main iconic landmarks like Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza de Cibeles, the Prado Museum, Retiro Park, the Fountain of Neptune, the Royal Palace… The trip included a stop at some of the most exclusive hotels in Madrid where its guests were able to see and experience the exceptionality of the Carmen for themselves.
