This series covers my trip to Cusco Peru to an Ayahuasca retreat for 3 days of enlightenment. The retreat was coordinated by Etnika Retreats and I was fortunate enough to be able to document the process and my experience using Ayahuasca. I will highlight all that I experienced as well as provide a review on Etnika as a guide to others who may be thinking of pursuing their own Ayahuasca trip.
So you may be thinking “has Karl lost his mind”? The answer is not yet haha. I went on an Ayahuasca Journey to support my friend with achieving one of the items on his bucket list. When I saw Ayahuasca journey on his I decided to add it to my list of 100, and this year was the year. Wondering what is Ayahuasca and why would an ayahuasca journey be on someone’s bucket list? Ayahuasca is an ancient medicine used by native societies throughout South America. Ayahuasca is a combination of 2 principle ingredients one coming from the vine of a plant while the other comes from the leaves of another plant. The plants are combined and brewed and the remaining liquid, containing a concentrated amount of DMT, is consumed orally, as a psychotropic medicine resulting in visions, emotional heightening, and intestinal cleansing.
Some may consider this exclusively a hallucinogen and drugs to be dismissed completely. However, there are countless testimonies of this treatment curing, depression, PTSD, Anxiety, and Drug Addiction. Powerful Stuff!
The series is broken down into 4 Episodes covering where I went, the preparation for the Ayahuasca journey, my experience and detailed description of the effects of Ayahuasca, and overall synopsis of the entire process. I hope that this video reaches people who are curious as well as people who may be in need of healing as I now believe in the spiritual and psychological benefits of this Medicine.
