What an incredible experience that was! I just attended a local wedding in the Democratic Republic of Congo 🇨🇩 It was fascinating to observe how the Congolese celebrate marriage -- there is no shortage of dancing, eating and smiling faces all around. At first I was (very) intimidated being the only foreigner out of some 800 people in attendance, but they all welcomed me in with open arms and it turned out to be just fine.
