This is the third version of the well known E.D. Racer model diesel engine, and the last to feature a di-chromate finished magnesium crankcase. The example shown has very little run time and all fits are superb. It is fitted with a period exhaust manifold to divert exhaust oil and gasses away, with very little effect on performance. We ran this Racer because: 1. We like E.D. Racers; and 2. We wanted to test this old accessory on it. It is always good to come back to the Racer, they start very easily and do what they were designed to do with minimal fuss. Propeller: A 10 x 5 MA gf3 propeller is fitted. Fuel Composition: 1. Equal parts Di-Ethyl Ether (solvent grade), F-34 AVTUR and Castor Oil (first pressing cosmetic grade) plus 1.5% 2-EHN ignition improver (Amsoil Diesel Cetane Boost).
