on the lowkey down here further in the description: both bart and jaime mean so so much to me. yj s2 caught me at a super dark time in my life, and seeing both bart and jaime go through so much and come out the other side as heroes still makes me want to cry my eyes out. they're both so good. i love them as individuals, as a friendship, and the idea of them as a couple. i truly love them in every form. yj turned me onto reading so many comics that i never would've otherwise (the original core four young justus, blue beetle 2006 and 2011, impulse 1995, teen titans, soooo many good ones that are worth reading!)
and fun fact: somehow i only grew to love them to maximum otp status this past summer (2019) when they got shut down in canon. i literally had two months where i had to sit down and be like. okay. it's not gonna happen, time to absorb all of the fan content in the universe on repeat until it feels like the earth isn't gonna explode anymore. hence how this video came about.
(and p.s. i'm not shading anything with this video, i think outsiders is /fine/ i just personally wish they'd done more character building with the sophomore and junior members of the team that were introduced in season two instead of spending the time playing relationship musical chairs w newbies. but that's just me.)
