Supergirl has proven to be quite a success on TV, but it’s probably for the best that some of Kara Zor-El’s weirder stories from the comics haven’t been adapted. Even the 1980s Supergirl film, which was extremely bizarre and campy, didn’t begin to approach the strangeness of the character’s adventures in the comics. While many readers might expect that Superman would be quite happy to find out he has a living relative, he was actually extremely dismissive of his Kryptonian cousin when she tried to get too close.
