Naturally the label is going to be heavily rooted in disco and house but also incorporating, Afro, funk, jazz and various other styles that are synonymous to the ethos of the disco era. Always dance floor friendly and never pretentious; music to get down to…. The first instalment comes from long time Liverpool Disco Festival/Hustle friend, Rahaan, with Detroit’s Angel-A on vocals. Remix duties are handled by another loyal associate in Karizma. Hailing from Chicago and Baltimore respectively, there’s no need for introductions with these stalwarts of the disco and house world. Rahaan’s original production, ‘True To Myself’, showcases a sound akin to early 90’s US garage with skippy drums, a punchy bass line and seductive, layered female vocals from Detroit’s Angel-A, advocating us to live our truth.
