#HowToMakeJambalaya - #Zatarain’s Jambalaya RiceMix This is an easy weeknight meal.#OnePotMeal that you can enjoy. #Chicken&SausageJambalaya easy recipe. Filling meal that does not take a lot of work. Easy to Make & Taste so good. INGREDIENTS: 2 box Zatarain’s Jambalaya Rice Mix 8oz.(226g) Water - 4 ½ cups Cooking Oil - 2 tbsp Celery - 1 stalk - chopped Half Onion - chopped Half Bell Pepper - chopped Garlic - 5 cloves chopped Green onion - 3 stalk, chopped Sausage, Andouille - sliced Chicken meat, Rotisserie, cubes 2 Bay leaf Salt & Pepper. Direction: Brown the Andouille Sausage then set aside. Saute Onion, Bell pepper, Celery. Let it sweat for a 2 -3 mins. Add 2 boxes of ZATARAIN'S Jambalaya Mix, add 4 1/2 cups of water and stir to mix the flavors together. Cover the pot and let it boil about 5-6 mins. Once it boil, lower your heat and let it simmer for about 10-12 mins. Do not stir the mixture once it starts to boil and just let it simmer. This way the rice will cook evenly and avoids getting too starchy. After 10-12 mins. add the cooked sausage and chicken on top of the jambalaya and cover again. DO NOT Mix the rice yet. This will steam and warm up the proteins. After 2-3 minutes. You can fluff the rice and mix everything. Add the green onions and ready to serve. Tip: Once the rice mix starts boiling, do not open lid. Let it simmer to low heat for 10-12 mins. Wait until water has fully evaporated. Then you can open the lid and fluff the rice with fork. Opening Lid and mixing the rice while still boiling/cooking will make it mushy and risotto like. Avoid making your rice starchy. On Water - 4 1/2 cup water is all I added. though the box instruction will require 5 cups of water. Again 1/2 cup less of water will help avoid a mushy Jambalaya, unless that is what you want. Rotisserie Chicken - use left over chicken meat. Already have really good flavor. Hope you enjoy this Time lapse cooking video. Makes cooking quick and easy. Please Like & Subscribe Thank you!
