Check out my UPDATED and rigged to fish walkthrough here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUUiZFKDVAs&t=85s Get a closer look at the 2019 Hobie Pro Angler 12. I personally LOVE this boat (technically a kayak). After over 100 trips on this bad boy, I wanted to post about some of my likes and dislikes, and show some of the ins and outs of a boat like this. Yes, the price tag may be high, but just watch this video and you’ll see why it might be worth it. Here are my pros and cons: Subscribe to my channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2gb8TiUrLsEnqzD6mfFw_g My Reviews and unboxings: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPTgeg40DsZTjtSFVvl8fZWRnMk9XsLr0 My Fishing Videos: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPTgeg40DsZRbcs5r1SBdr37p0yyD0i6Z PROS: - 99% of upgrades require 0 holes drilled in the boat! - The seat is the most comfortable seat I have next to my couch. Oh, and it comes off the boat easily for camping fun! - The hull is super thick and therefore pretty much bullet proof - Pedaling the mirage drive is easy, quiet and fast - The front dry hatch is huge and there is space underneath for batteries - Rod tubes make rod storage and travel super simple - Mounting a transducer is super easy and it’s retractable so you can avoid damage. Check out the Hobie install video HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3yuBti9Wmo - The rudder system is retractable and durable AF - Bungees in the rear of the boat help to keep your tackle crate secure - Stability is out of this world and you can stand and fish with ease Cons - The rear dry hatch is borderline useless - Molded rod holders are hardly secure for trolling - Most of the things you WANT are aftermarket and they ain’t cheap - YOU MUST HAVE WHEELS TO MOVE THIS BEAST - The wheels can be a pain in the arse to put on when getting off the water - The Mirage 180 drive is a pain to turn around in tighter or high current/wind situations - Um... It’s EXPENSIVE $$$$ Overall, I love this boat and highly recommend it to ANYONE with the expendable income and kayak fishing experience!
