- The King of the Jungle - Meet the KING COBRA! The largest, venomous snake in the World! - Watch in HD - We went looking for King Cobras (Ophiophagus hannah), the largest venomous snakes on the planet, during our Indonesia Expedition in May 2019. We looked long and hard and managed to find not one, but two individuals during our time in Bali. Kings are incredible snakes. They are large, intelligent, fast and unforgiving. They are highly venomous and can inject up to 7ml of venom in their victim in a single bite. In the wild kings mostly prey on other snakes, including reticulated pythons, the largest snake species in the world. Even though their habitat is decreasing, king cobra populations are doing rather well all across Asia. This causes them to come into contact with human settlements more often, increasing the number of dangerous encounters. Educational projects and conservation efforts protecting these snakes are doing the best they can to inform the public of the presence of these large predators. During our expedition we found a large male with a very nasty wound. The story of his recovery is featured in this video... LIKE, SHARE & SUBSCRIBE! Want to join us next time?
