NYPD Bomb Squad Neutralizes Suspicious Device

8.4.19 | by Adam Balhetchet | CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn - Around 9:40 am Sunday at Utica Ave & Eastern Parkway, Bomb Squad confirmed a suspicious device in a bag on a bench. FDNY stated it was a "possible bomb". A remote firearm was used to shoot the suspicious device. Bomb squad yelled "fire in the hole!" repeatedly as police pushed back crowds of people behind police tape and were told to take cover behind vehicles or getting indoors. A loud BANG went off and the device was neutralized.
