110 arrested, $163,000 worth of drugs seized in four-day sting

A 15-year-old Singaporean male was among 110 suspected drug offenders arrested in a four-day operation, which ended on Aug 23. The islandwide operation covered areas such as Ang Mo Kio, Clementi, Hougang, Punggol and Tampines. The Central Narcotics Bureau seized $163,000 worth of drugs -- including 1.2kg of "ice", which it said is enough to "feed the addiction of more than 700 abusers for a week".
