When the idea of the internet first arose in hacker culture, it was going to be the decentralizing technology that changed the world. The power dynamics between citizens and the larger institutions & governments that shaped their society were finally going to even out. Instead, the internet has centralized power in our society more than ever, leading to a major information asymmetry between big companies and citizens. Referenced: Carl Von Clausewitz was a Prussian general and military theorist whose most notable book, On War, stressed the psychological and political aspects of war. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_von_Clausewitz ******************** Samo Burja is a sociologist and the founder of Bismarck Analysis, a firm that analyzes institutions, from governments to companies.
