Will politicians and other influential people who have aided such companies be punished? While the CBI investigation has gained momentum in the Sarada scam case, crores of investors duped by a Gujarat based chit fund company are still left in lurch. The Supreme Court in 2016 had ordered auctioning of the chit fund company - Pearl Agrotech Corporation Limited (PACL) to refund money to its investors. According to reports, over Rs 48000 crore have been collected from investors number over 5.6 crore.
