The debate as old as motorsport: Is Sideways Faster? Some drivers will attest that staying in contact with the road surface will provide the car with the most possible grip, therefore producing the fastest possible lap times. Other drivers will swear that sliding the car intentionally and allowing understeer and oversteer to occur will be the quickest way around any course.
