Where do I even start? One would think I'd fall in love with the most evident and poetic bromance in the show, that is Nell and Luke, and though I like them very much, I couldn't help but fall completely in love with Theo and Shirley's dynamic. They sounded and seemed so real to me, it was as if the show encapsulated the true nature of a relationship between sisters. Some scenes made me feel as if I was Theo or Shirley or both of them at the same time. I could feel their struggle, I could feel the unconditional love they have for each other. Theo builds entire buildings between herself and the world, but she decided to live next to her sister, isn't it ironic? She chose to be there, with her, for her, because they are more similar than one would think. They tend to bottle all their pain up and shut (or ice) people out. And although they fight and disagree all the time, they are next to each other, always, it's as if there's this bond they can't literally escape.
Not to mention the fact that, even though they had just had a fight, Shirl still put herself between Theo and the danger outside the door. This. is. the. content. I. live. for.
They won my heart and I just had to make a little tribute for them.
