BELOW THE TREES | Proof of Concept

 

In this prelude to a feature-length film, a young woman inherits her grandmother's rural estate but soon meets an unsettling neighbor with malevolent intentions. BELOW THE TREES premiered at the 2018 Nightmares Film Festival, where it was nominated for "Best Ohio Film." We later won awards from The International Horror Hotel and International Independent Film Awards. We also screened at Cabin Fever Film Fest and the Days of the Dead convention in Chicago. Sadly, Suzanne Sadler who portrays "Edith" in the film passed away December 13th, 2023. She was only 65 years old, and I will certainly miss her talent and kindness. She won't be forgotten.
