Lyrics:
Open your heart and your mind
Give love one more try
(Verse)
Love’s not to blame
For the foolish games
Played at your expense
Somebody messing around
Letting you down
Has caused you to build a fence
Now nobody's close
Enough
To ever make that mistake again
So afraid of losing
In love
But tell me what do you really win?
(Chorus)
Open your heart and your mind
Give love one more try
(Verse 2)
May I kindly present
It's quite evident
You shouldn't be alone
So much love deep inside
How can you deny
It's looking for a home
I know you think
Love broke your heart
But I must disagree
Baby, that wasn't love
How could it be?
Girl, when it wasn't me?
(Chorus)
Open your heart and your mind
Give love one more try
(Vamp)
Have you ever had a girl
You wanna give the whole world
But she wouldn't take it
Have you ever had a queen
You wanna give everything
But she wouldn't take it
(Adlib about what you would say to take away her insecurities and convince her your love is true...)
(Last Chorus)
Open your heart and your mind
Give love one more try
Cause you know in your heart
You cannot deny
You really just don't wanna say goodbye
