Point Reyes is one of my favorite place to hike in Bay Area. When inland temperature hits 100 digress, here never goes up more than 75. Haven't seen any hikers from Muddy Hollow trail to Limantour Beach. If you want to feel what it is to own a private beach, I highly recommend Limantour Beach. It is as beautiful as any other San Francisco Bay beaches but no crowd. After 12 miles of my first solo hiking, I headed to the ' Cypress Tree Tunnel' Unfortunately, Point Reyes Lighthouse was closed due to renovation but the coast line view was worth the driving.
