My name is David Drew. I am the Member of Parliament for the Stroud constituency, which is in the west of England. I am just recording this to show my solidarity for all those Iranians at the moment who are demonstrating and demanding their freedom. Clearly, I have supported the opposition in Iran for a great many years, and I would just like to say in my own words how important it is that people demand that human rights should be central to a democratic Iran. It can only be achieved through proper democratic means, but people have got to express themselves and that is what is going on at the moment in Iran with mass demonstrations. The mullahs have to take notice, they have to realize that the new Iran is coming, and Iran will be based on the freedom of law, the freedom of religion and the freedom of political speech. That is so essential to any country, and as the UK grips with its own problems at the moment with Brexit, it's just so important if we reach out and recognize our friends in other parts of the world such as Iran are getting our support. So, I can heartedly support the protests. I support the move towards freedom. I support the move towards a new and better Iran.
