Here's a special hour-long edition of NBC Nightly News, anchored by John Chancellor in Jerusalem, David Brinkley in Washington, and Jessica Savitch in New York. (this is the complete broadcast, but it is the network feed, and as such is missing any local cutaway spots) This deals almost exclusively with the recognition and acceptance by Egypt's President Anwar el-Sadat of Israel at a speech before the Israeli Parliament, and the reaction Includes: Opening titles (voiceover by Bill McCord) David, in Washington, leads off with Sadat's speech, then hands it off to Jessica who previews what will be covered on this edition, plus promising an interview with former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. She, in turn, introduces John who is at the Knesset and, in his report, shows clips from Sadat's speech and words from Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin.
