While a DSLR may give you better lapse options and post-editing power, the 4K video shot out by the HC-X1 is quick, easy and looks reallllly good. Watch the video for step by step instructions on how to activate the Time Lapse mode on the camera through the menu and for a few beginners tips. This video is just showing how to turn it on, so stay tuned for our upcoming videos on other camera & light settings, how to calculate times, and how to add movement when you edit! I use the Panasonic HCX1 Time Lapse function all the time. In fact the “end screen” for almost all of my videos is a time lapse. I try to shoot at least ONE every time I’m out with the camera.
