Hello everyone, this is MISS FOOT FIXER and in this video I will show you how to bandage a toe after surgery. After nail surgery the toe can bleed a lot therefore putting a secure dressing is really really important. Not only does the dressing absorbs blood but it also protect the toe by adding additional protection of padding around the toe. Imagine if a dog or maybe a book or maybe a child step on your toe after surgery, you wouldn't regret the extra padding.
As you can see I placed a lot of gauze and bandages around the toe and I think more is better because it can bleed. Then I put tubigrip to secure the dressing. Oh, before that I put some antiseptic that you can't see actually on it. Now its really important that you don't put too much dressing on a toe as it may restrict movement and circulation. The wound would not heal well with the lack of blood and lack of oxygen. Now I place a lot of tape around the toe and also around the foot to secure the dressing.
This patient have a nail infection and that needs to be permanently removed.
