We are in Taipei, Taiwan at the Raohe Street Night Market (饒河街觀光夜市) on a beautiful Friday evening. The Raohe Night Market is one of the oldest night markets in the Songshan District. To get here, we took the Taipei Metro to Songshan MRT Station, which is just a short walk from the market. Once you exit the MRT Station, follow the signs toward the market—you cannot miss the huge entrance gate or the Ciyou Temple (慈祐宮) located right next to it.
This market is the perfect place to find traditional Taiwanese street food, Chinese street food, and even some Western foods. We came in search of Taipei must-eat foods and were not disappointed. This 600-meter-long night market offers street foods to suit all tastes and nationalities. We sampled many typical and delicious Taipei eats as we explored the market.
Visiting the Raohe Night Market was a real highlight, and based on what we’ve heard, it’s considered one of the best Taipei night markets for street food. When you travel to Taipei, be sure to add Raohe Street Night Market to your itinerary of top attractions.
