Behringer Model D

This is my first hands-on experience with the much anticipated and long-awaited Behringer Model D monophonic synthesizer. Supposedly a detailed and accurate recreation of the infamous Moog Minimoog analogue synth architecture that shaped the direction of music in the 1970's, this little Behringer synth has taken a lot of heat from die-hard Moog fans since it was first announced last year. I have only owned it for a few hours but my initial impressions are that it sounds totally fantastic, is extremely easy to use, has a really solid feel to it and is unbelievably affordable at less that £300 in the UK. I really hope Behringer sell a lot of these and go on to make many more classic analogue synth recreations, it is a fantastic time to be an electronic musician!
