He is also the author of things about Islam and the Comparative Science of Religion. Professionally, he is a medical doctor, obtaining a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from Maharashtra, but since 1991 he has been an Islamic speaker and cleric who is involved in Islamic da'wah and comparative religion. He stated that his aim was to talk about Islam to non-Muslims and to clarify all kinds of misconceptions about Islam itself, especially labeling "terrorists" and "radicalism". He is also a speaker on the religion of Islam as a religion in fact is a religion that makes sense and fit with modern science to convince non-Muslims about the truth of the religion. Zakir Naik is the founder and president of the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) [5], an Islamic non-profit organization specialized in Islamic and Comparative religion research which also owns and broadcasts the free TV channel Peace TV network from Mumbai, India.
