Future ANC president: not a foregone conclusion

In less than two weeks, The African National Congress will convene its 54th National Conference - where more than 4500 delegates will determine the organisation's policy and programmes and also elect it's leadership for the next five years. Monday night, the ANC in KwaZulu-Natal named Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma as its preferred candidate for the position of party president. Dlamini-Zuma received 433 votes while Cyril Ramaphosa received 193 votes.
