Hacking The PS3 Just Got A Lot Easier

In an interesting turn of events, a system that has slowly faded into being a legacy system by Sony and originally thought to be unhackable beyond a certain firmware just had a breakthrough. A couple of programmers discovered an exploit in Webkit that will allow them to run code letting you install custom firmware. This breakthrough comes years after the modding scene was extremely popular and shows just how exploitable a web browser with Webkit can be.
