I gave up searching for a decent trailer for the Rodgers and Hammerstein's 1962 version of STATE FAIR which has been beautifully restored and released by Twilight Time Entertainment on a limited edition Blu-ray. This release includes a 1080p trailer of this less known version of this story which I have shared with you. This 1962 CINEMASCOPE remake of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II’s 1945 movie musical, State Fair, stars Pat Boone and Pamela Tiffin as a pair of innocent Texas country mice who find complicated romance with, respectively, Ann-Margret and Bobby Darin at the titular big event. Alice Faye and Tom Ewell are their concerned parents. The Academy Award®-winning classic, “It Might As Well Be Spring,” and “It’s a Grand Night for Singing” are joined by five new songs with music and lyrics by Rodgers written for this remake.Both films were released by Twentieth Century Fox.
