This week we start off our double feature with biologist Adam Nickel, from the Wisconsin DNR , aboard the Calumet to participate in the fall fish trawl survey on Lake Winnebago in WI. Occurring since 1986, this is one of the most important surveys of the year for the Winnebago system; allowing biologists to accurately measure forage base and young of the year game fish species; two vital bits of information important to anglers and biologists. The results confirmed the largest amount of trout perch in 8 years, lots of gizzard shad, abundant perch & crappie, a great 2016 walleye hatch and an average 2017 walleye hatch and much more. From there, we head west over to Yellow Lake, WI: A small lake that is absolutely loaded with walleyes! Kent Andersen, from Warrior Boats, offers techniques for live bait rigging and also jigging Rapalas that puts plenty of walleyes in the boat, along with some big walleye during this fall transition time period. We film and air new episodes in the same week, 52 weeks per year! Our team of professional anglers and fishing guides will help you learn fishing tips, fishing techniques, ice fishing secrets, when & where to fish, best lures, jigging tricks & live bait rigging. Watch for us on Fox Sports North and Spectrum Sports.
