Inception is an amazing film by any measure, and its success is even more impressive considering that it is an original, standalone story, which is refreshing in today's congested remake, sequel and prequel cinema schedule. Christopher Nolan's relationship with composer Hans Zimmer had already flourished with the first two Batman films at this point, but this is when they started to reach even higher, with this and especially Interstellar being jaw-dropping scores. The famous ending music, 'Time', usually gets most of the attention, and rightly so, but there are several action pieces building up to that ending that also stand out. Scenes like this set the groundwork for the immensely satisfying payoff the audience gets at the film's climax, as the protagonists escape back to reality. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Michael Caine, Tom Hardy, Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard, Tom Berenger, Cillian Murphy, Dileep Rao, Pete Postlethwaite and Ken Watanabe.
