Water bombers Using Detroit Lake

Over the August 5th weekend, Sheriffs vacated boaters off the majority of the main lake to allow fire planes to load up on water to fight the Whitewater fires in Oregon. Once they loaded up on water and took off, they flew around Piety Island and came back over. The fires were close, at the equivalency of a half hour drive from Detroit. These two planes came back every 10 to 15 minutes.
