Sewing a Bustle how to *stitch* an American, Overbustle, Traditional bustle
This shows step-by-step in high contrast, how to stitch a single hook and loop bustle. This doesn't explain positioning of the bustle, etc. -Just the stitch. You can also use this technique for sewing the hook and loop to the top of the zipper on a gown.
This vid does not go into the various bustling styles. It focuses on how to actually do the stitching for the components of the bustle.
I try to avoid using buttons; I prefer hooks. They are much stronger.
If I have to use a satin button, I only use one with a metal shank. The tufted back buttons are too weak, and not to be trusted for a bustle!
