Things to do in Yokohama : Day Trip Travel Guide

 

We took a day trip from Tokyo to visit the beautiful city of Yokohama for a food adventure. We checked out the Kirin Brewery, the Cup Noodle Museum and the Ramen Museum. The Kirin Brewery tour is free and you get to learn all about how Kirin Beer is made. There is also an opportunity to sample the different beers available The Cupnoodle museum was a lot of fun. You get to learn about the history of instant ramen, and cup noodles and learn about the life of Momofuku Ando. You also get to make your own cup noodle Our last stop was the Ramen Museum. The museum is decorated to look like a city block from 1958, the year instant ramen was invented. We sampled half sized ramen from three different and delicious places. The waterfront also very beautiful place to spend an afternoon. The walkway is lined with wonderful Sakura trees and you get a nice view of the city.
