Heres some information about laser hair removal:
- Laser hair removal consists of a specific beam of light which is either targeted to melanin or oxhaemoglobin (colour of the blood) in the hair follicle. Melanin is what gives colour to the skin. The laser passes through the skin and is absorbed by Melanin in the hair follicle or the oxhaemoglobin in the bulb.
- To be the ideal candidate for laser hair removal, the hair needs to be darker than the skin. But any skin tone can have this treatment safe and effectively.
- After treatment can feel a little heat in the area. That when you can apply the Balense Recovery Cream as it will help reduce any heat in the area. Over the next 4 wks you can shave as often as you like, and in about 2-3 weeks the hairs will grow forward and fall out.
- Winter is the best time for laser hair removal as we aren't in the sun as much as in the summer.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO PREPARE?
* If you have been bleaching your hair, you will need to allow the normal colour to regrow before proceeding with laser. Otherwise there is no preparation required, other than shaving the area the night before, and avoid using deodorants and other skin products on the area on the day of your treatment.
DOES LASER HAIR REMOVAL HURT?
*Laser Hair Removal is virtually painless and is a much more pleasant treatment experience than waxing, tweezing, and electrolysis, which are much more aggressive and damaging to the skin. You may feel a short burst of heat as the condensed light reaches your hair follicles, and some people describe the sensation as a tingling or a slight pinching sensation. Results Laser Clinic laser equipment features Air Cooling Compatible (ACC) which directs high air flow at the treatment area during treatment to counteract and cool the targeted area during treatment.
** In my personal opinion, it feels like a cool mini rubber band flicking onto the skin but I would rate it a 2/10 - it definitely didn't hurt as much as i thought!!
HOW LONG WILL THE PROCEDURE TAKE?
*The initial treatment can take as little as 5 minutes to over an hour depending on the size of the area being targeted. You will be given an approximate treatment time by our qualified staff when booking your appointment. However, the majority of treatments take less than 20 minutes, and people return to their lives immediately after treatment with no downtime.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?
* The number of treatments depends on your specific skin type and colour, the thickness and density of hair, and the size of the treatment area. On average, 6 and 10 treatments will result in 85-99% permanent hair reduction.
