We started our journey at 3:30am along with 6 more friends.We took the JMT since it was dark.Epic 18 mile, 12+ hour hike starting from the valley floor passing the Vernal footbridge- Nevada Fall- Little Yosemite Valley- The Little Spring- Subdome- Half Dome.Total elevation of 8,839' with strenuous granite steps increasing in steepness with a final 400' of sheer incline to make it to the top.
** At the 09:15 mark you see us at Nevada Fall..we were careful not to step into any wet areas with flowing water, as its very slippery and dangerous.Please be careful**
Breathtaking views with an unbelievable feel of the wilderness during this rewarding hike.
Finally secured a permit via the lottery to take on this hike with a great group of friends!
The beauty of this place never fails to astonish me , and always draws me back for more.
