It's time to do the time trials. These are required to unlock the bonus levels in the basement, and you need gold or better to finish the game 105% and to get the time trial related trophies. This is not difficult for most levels, so I decided to go for platinums until I lost my patience. I'm no time trial expert, so you won't see any perfect runs and near-world record times here.

3:26 - Orient Express
Press the speed button and never let go while getting as many boxes as possible. In the original you had to be near perfect here, but you're allowed to miss a few boxes here. I beat the platinum time with exactly five seconds. Even though I fail many times before I succeed, I always had fun getting the platinum on these.

Another lenient one where you most likely will get the platinum if you run through and get as many boxes as you can. Got this one in a couple of attempts.

7:14 - Makin' Waves
This wasn't as bad as I feared. There isn't much of a margin here, so you have to get all the time boxes and cut the corners. Some places I found it best to just ram through the bombs. I actually had fun trying to get the platinum here, and I didn't need too many attempts.
