The artiste Zybrance, formerly known as Zebedee Rashwan Maynard, is a 19 year old recording artiste who was born and raised in Quamina Street, St. James Trinidad and Tobago. After spending the early part of his life in St. James, Zybrance relocated to Point Cumana, Carenage, where he currently resides.
The young artiste has been in love with music and song writing since the early age of 10, and over the years he has experimented in different genre of music.
After just about 3 years, Zybrance made connection with the Millionaire family, a local entertainment organisation where he learnt about the industry from a different angle and had the opportunity to perform first hand in a professional music environment. He gained exposure and recognition doing performances, video appearances and integrating with people in the industry.
On 13th September, 2012, he released his first single called “Childhood days”, written by Ghost Writers Music /SJ Studio 21; he then started building his own fan base, generated from positive feedback and bookings through the Millionaire family connection. He is motivated now more than ever.
As he matured, he began writing his own songs as well as songs for other artistes.
In 2015, Zybrance changed his approach to music and as a result, there was a large increase in the number of fans and social media followers and he started projecting towards the female target audience. He now brands himself as the ‘ladies joy’.
On February, 3rd 2017, he met in studio with Araya Felix, a local song writer, artiste and independent record label executive, who is now his current manager.
They both began working together and share a very strong bond, feeding off each other’s musical vibe. Zybrance wrote a song previously called ‘’Nancy’’ but never got the chance to develop it. Araya was convinced that “Nancy” would be a hit single and on the dance hall billboards. Making “Nancy” the new focus, Araya contacted Makiri Felix, his brother who is a record producer as well as a proficient recording engineer located in Ontario, Canada.
While recording his single “Nancy”, Zybrance liked the vibe in studio with Makiri, and the three of them came up with agreements and strategies to move forward. With team work and determination their new motto, they are now in the process of recording and releasing many new singles.
Zybrance has joined the “Bascrom Family’’ and the rest, as they say, is history.
Zybrance has said that throughout his musical career he had many influences, but he can’t conclude without stating that Orlando Octave and Alkaline made strong impact on him as an artiste. He talked about having the pleasure of meeting Orlando and interacting with him and continued that the renowned artiste inspired him, imparting some valuable lessons to apply to his music and style.
