First Obon festival that I attended in the Central Valley for 2017. The Visalia Obon Festival, which is a smaller obon event, kicks off the Central Valley Obon Festivals and then the next is held in Reedley on the 1st, the largest Central Valley obon event is held in Fresno, California on July 8th (which brings in over a thousand people) and then it goes to Fowler and ends in Parlier. There are also numerous Obon festivals throughout the country and in California in June and July.
