Athlete at Heart 2017 - A Great Success For Student Athletes

Myron Stephens, Sports Medicine Manager at Carolinas HealthCare System Blue Ridge shares his thoughts about the 2017 Athlete At Heart Event that was held on May 20 at CHS Valdese Hospital. Over 800 student athlete physicals were performed, and over 400 EKG tests were given. Athlete At Heart has been an ongoing and improving event since 2010, and has identified a number of athletes who needed heart procedures to protect them from sudden cardiac death.
