Said to be the Worst god in Duel.
BUILD:
As always, don't use cookie cutter builds, you have to change your builds depending on the situation. Ares seems to be a special case, in all my games I was always building in 2 main ways. Start of with Mark of the Vanguard as well, the health chalice is helpful too, just know you WILL lose minions to tower.
FIRST WAY (TO KILL YOUR OPPONENT):
You want lots of Pen like Spear of the Magus, Void stone, things of that nature. With this you have like 70+ Pen with your chains and with sunder you do tons of damage to your opponent, the draw back to this build is your power and structure damage is extremely low. Sometimes your opponent rage quits.
SECOND WAY (TRY TO WIN):
This way you're going to need things like Poly and obsidian, probably double defense as well, also cooldown boots. You probably only have room for 1 really situational item like winged blade or something similar, With this build you're not going to be killing your opponent as much but if they mess up or you are able to kill them you will be able to take tower and maybe phoenix if you have the wave. Also if you are given the (rare) opportunity you could kill bdk with Poly and timing abilities perfectly. It also helps taking buffs.
