3-Year-Old Girl Dies When Her Heart Stopped During Dental Surgery: Reports

A 3-year-old girl died while undergoing dental surgery. Daleyza Avila-Hernandez was reportedly having two of her teeth removed and two of them capped at Children's Dental Surgery Center in Stockton, California when her heart stopped. Her mother told a local news station that she was in the waiting room when she saw ambulances arrive. She says a nurse told her Daleyza was stable, but the child never woke up.
