Fourth round of 1995 World Rally Championship and first all tarmac rally was held in Corsica. Mitsubishi were out with their new Lancer which showed promising pace in the hands of tarmac specialist Andrea Aghini. As usual Subaru struggled on tarmac with their Pirelli tires and rotten bit of luck for Bruno Thiry who would have won the rally (and his first rally which he never did) if his wheel bearings hadn't broken on the last day of competition.
After action packed rally Didier Auriol would claim his sixth Corsica victory although it was bit hollow because Thiry was clearly fastest driver of the rally. Thiry's team mate tarmac specialist Francois Delecour finished second delighting the Ford team. Another tarmac specialist Andrea Aghini finished third on his brand new Mitsubishi beating arch enemies Subaru. Speaking of Subarus they finished fourth fifth and sixth in the order of Sainz, McRae and Liatti. Damage limitation for Subaru and now they would go to gravel surface which they prefer. Patrick Bernardini finished seventh for Ford and Tommi Mäkinen eighth.
