(25 May 2017) TOM CRUISE AND CO-STARS ATTEND 'THE MUMMY' PREMIERE IN TAIWAN
Tom Cruise was cheered by hundreds of fans at the premiere of "The Mummy" in Taipei - and promised to come back to Taiwan again after this, his fourth visit.
Cruise was joined by his co-stars, Sofia Boutella and Annabelle Wallis, as well as the movie's director Alex Kurtzman.
Kurtzman said that it would definitely be an honor to return to Taiwan to make a movie.
When describing the filming of one of the most exciting scenes in "The Mummy," Cruise said it was shot for real in an airplane in France that was designed to take people into zero gravity.
"They normally use it for scientific reasons, but we were able to use it for our film and it was technically very challenging to build the set inside this aircraft, but we're able to do it," said the 54-year-old action star.
He praised his co-star, British-born actress Annabelle Wallis, who shot scenes in the airplane.
"Annabelle really did a sensational job. She's never done anything like that before, but it was very impressive," said Cruise. Wallis described working on the film as "a wonderful experience."
