After finishing up my time in Koh Phi Phi, I decided to travel to Krabi to spend the night, and then off to Surat Thani for a couple of days. I just wanted to slowly make my way up to Bangkok, stopping in a few places to walk around, sight-see, and to experience a bit of the culture.
I you are reading this and trying to get from Koh Phi Phi to Krabi or Surat Thani - don't worry. It's SUPER easy. Just ask anyone with a pulse. Everybody can point you to the bus station and everyone can help you get to where you are going. The important thing to look out for is overcharging.
Ask a local friend, if you have one, to check the price for you. Then you know the local price. When they try to charge you more (and they will (sometimes 3x more), you can tell them that you know the price. I have traveled a lot, and Thailand seems to be the very worst in ripping off foreigners. Be observant. Ask some locals.
