May 19th 2017 Washington county and Salem, Indiana experienced a flash flood of the blue river that took the city by surprise. Many businesses were covered in water. This video shows the effects after the water subsided. Many semis were swept up by the water. Tractor trailers and two fuel tanks slammed a bridge. A trucker was trapped in his cab during the flood.
