Aptakisic Junior High students wanted to make new families feel welcome in D102 by giving them "welcome baskets." This idea evolved from a Project Based Learning (PBL) activity in Mrs. Fitt's 7th-grade class. It was presented to the Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee, an authentic audience; and baskets were given to new families on May 24, 2017, a real-world application.
